An independent home and garden design publication
Yard & Vista is published by Creative Web Design and Development. We produce visualised landscaping concepts for homeowners who want to understand a design before they pay for it — and we publish the planning knowledge that normally sits behind a consultation fee.
Why we built this site
Homeowners are asked to approve landscaping from a flat plan and a couple of sample photos, then live with the result for a decade. Plans are hard to read. Photos of other people's gardens do not tell you whether something fits your block. So every concept we publish is shown from five viewpoints — a drone style top view plus forward, rear, left and right — because that is how people actually experience a yard.
How our concepts are produced
Each concept starts as a written design brief covering zones, circulation, surfaces, structures and planting layers. The brief is then visualised using AI image generation and reviewed for spatial plausibility: does the furniture fit, is the shade in the right place, is the paving fall away from the house? Concepts are inspiration and planning tools, not engineered construction documents.
Editorial independence
Our design guides are written for readers, not for suppliers. We do not accept payment to recommend a product, contractor or material. This site is funded by advertising displayed through Google AdSense, which is clearly labelled and kept separate from editorial content.
Our team
We are a small studio of designers, writers and developers based in New York, working with landscape and outdoor living specialists on the content you read here. The same team builds and maintains our sites, so if something is unclear or wrong you can reach a human directly.
